BAKED CHICKEN BREASTS

by Rebecca April 23, 2021

PREP TIME: 5 mins | COOK TIME: 15 mins | TOTAL TIME: 25 mins | SERVINGS: 6

Say goodbye to dry chicken with this easy recipe for the most flavorful, tender, and juicy baked chicken breast! Prep this in just five minutes and bake in the oven for a few minutes. Easy, quick, and no doubt the best chicken dinner that is on your dinner table in under thirty minutes!

My family loves chicken and this recipe has been my go-to for years now. In my experience, this is the simplest among other recipes I’ve tried.

INGREDIENTS

2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts about 4 medium-size breasts

2 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil

1 tsp kosher salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp onion powder

1/2 tsp paprika or chilli powder

HOW TO MAKE BAKED CHICKEN BREASTS

Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 450 degrees.

Step 2: Lightly pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness.

Step 3: In a 13 x 9-inch baking dish, pour the olive oil, then lightly coat the chicken in it. In the dish, place the chicken breasts side by side.

Step 4: Add the salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and chilli powder, or paprika to a small bowl. On both sides of the chicken, sprinkle the seasoning mixture, rubbing it on the chicken using your hands. Again, place the chicken in the dish side by side and not overlapping each other.

Step 5: Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 15 to 20 minutes until the juices run clear and the internal temperature of the meat reached 160 to 170 degrees. The cooking time varies depending on the thickness of the chicken breasts.

Step 6: Remove from the oven when done and cover the chicken breasts with foil. Before slicing, let the chicken rest for at least 5 to 10 minutes to allow the juices to settle.

Step 7: Enjoy immediately!
