Ingredients
1 pound chicken tenders (approximately 10 chicken tenders)
10 strips bacon
½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ to 1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/3 c. light brown sugar, packed
1 tablespoon chilli powder
HOW TO MAKE BACON-WRAPPED CHICKEN TENDERS
Step 1: Ready the smoker/grill/oven and preheat to 350 degrees.
Step 2: Combine the Italian seasoning, pepper, salt, paprika, onion powder, and garlic powder in a bowl. On all sides of the chicken tender, evenly sprinkle the mixture, making sure to completely cover them in spices.
Step 3: Around each tender, wrap a slice of bacon, tucking in the ends.
Step 4: In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and chilli powder. Generously sprinkle this n the bacon-wrapped chicken, pressing the brown sugar mixture onto the chicken.
Step 5: On the preheated smoker, place the bacon-wrapped chicken. Close the smoker’s lid and cook the chicken for approximately 30 minutes until done.
Step 6: You can broil the chicken for a couple of minutes if desired to crisp up the bacon. Just place the chicken on a cookie sheet and pop it in the oven.
Step 7: Serve the Bacon-wrapped Chicken Tenders alongside sauteed fresh green beans or rice. Enjoy!
