How to make Bacon Wrapped Asparagus
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 425 degrees F or 220 degrees F. And with parchment, line a sheet pan.
Step 2: On the prepared pan, place the trimmed asparagus, drizzle with olive oil, and season generously with salt and pepper. Start rolling the asparagus back and forth to evenly coat them. Then, into 5 or 6 groups, separate the asparagus spears, then arrange them, making sure that the tips are facing the same way. With one bacon strip, wrap the middle of each bundle. On the sheet pan, place the bundled asparagus with the bacon tail on the bottom. This way the bundle will be kept nice and tight while cooking and to ensure that the bacon will not curl from while roasting.
Step 3: Place inside the preheated oven and bake for about 20 minutes or until the bacon is brown and the asparagus is soft. In the last few minutes, broil the asparagus bundles for a couple of minutes until crispy.
Step 4: In the meantime, combine the balsamic vinegar and honey in a small saucepan and cook for about 5 to 10 minutes over medium-high heat until thickened. When done, let the glaze cool for a bit before drizzling it over the cooked asparagus bundles.
Step 5: Serve and enjoy!
