Apple Pie Filling Coffee Cake

This lovely cake comes in handy every time. And this is so versatile you can change the flavour whenever you want. Just use any of your favourite pie filling like blueberry, apple, or strawberry. Dense and flavorful. Impressively delicious to entertain your guests and perfect for breakfast or any time of the day.

Ingredients

CAKE:

1 pkg white cake mix (2 layers)

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 cup sour cream

3 Eggs

1/4 cup water

1 can (21 ounces) apple pie filling

GLAZE:

1 cup confectioners’ sugar

1-1 1/2 tablespoons milk

How to make Apple Pie Filling Coffee Cake

Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 350 degrees F.

Step 2: Grease and flour a 13 x 9-inch pan or spray with Pam.

Step 3: In a mixing bowl, put the cake ingredients (white cake mix, ground cinnamon, sour cream, eggs, and water) except the apple pie filling. Beat using a mixer until well incorporated.

Step 4: Transfer the batter into the prepared pan and top with spoonfuls of pie filling.

Step 5: Place inside the preheated oven. Bake for about 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle of the cake comes out clean. As the batter bakes, the cake will bake up over the filling.

Step 6: Remove from the oven and let the cake cool for at least 10 minutes.

To make the glaze:

Step 1: Combine the glaze ingredients (confectioner’s sugar and milk). Add more milk if the glaze becomes too thick. A teaspoonful until you reached your desired consistency.

Note:
