Apple Cinnamon Bun Breakfast Casserole

Made with cinnamon buns and apple pie filling and topped with creamy eggs, this sure is a sweet way to start your day! Apple Cinnamon Bun Breakfast Casserole is a mouthwatering, heavenly breakfast dream that everyone will ask for again and again!

Ingredients

Cooking spray

1 container Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls

1 can (540 mL/20oz) apple pie filling

3 Eggs

1 c milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

pinch of salt

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Topping:

1/8 c brown sugar

1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

Vanilla Glaze:

1/2 c powdered sugar

1 tablespoon milk

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

How to make Apple Cinnamon Bun Breakfast Casserole

Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 350 degrees F.

Step 2: Use cooking spray to grease an 8-inch square baking pan.

Step 3: Slice the cinnamon rolls into small pieces and evenly spread on the bottom of the prepared casserole dish.

Step 4: Evenly spread the apple pie filling on top.

Step 5: Combine the milk, eggs, salt, vanilla extract, and cinnamon in a large mixing bowl. Pour this over the apple pie filling.

Step 6: In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle on top of the egg mixture to make the topping.

Step 7: Cover and place inside the preheated oven. Bake for about 30 minutes.

Step 8: Remove the cover and bake for 30 minutes more or until the egg mixture is set.

Step 9: Drizzle with vanilla glaze and serve immediately.

To make the vanilla glaze:

Step 1: In a bowl, whisk the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. To reach your desired consistency, add more milk and sugar.
