Amish Country Casserole

This dish is the perfect make-ahead and freezer-friendly meal. Prep this in only ten minutes with a few easy-to-find ingredients, pop in the oven, and bake until done. If you love creamy dinner, effective, and a meal that can easily feed a crowd, you should give this recipe a try. Super easy and ready in no more than an hour, this Amish Country Casserole is a sure-fire!

Feel free to load this casserole with vegetables such as mushrooms, broccoli, peas, and carrots if you’d like. I bet your picky eaters would not mind because they will be blown away by the amazing flavour of this dish. Just take note that when adding carrots, the cooking time will take a bit longer than usual but I promise it’ll all be worth it!

Ingredients

500 grams Pasta your choice (16 ounces)

1 tablespoon Olive Oil extra-virgin

1 Onion chopped

750 grams Lean Ground Beef (1 1/2 pounds)

1 can Tomato Soup

1 can Mushroom Soup

1 c. Milk

Salt and Black Pepper to taste

1/2 teaspoon Paprika

1/2 teaspoon Dried Parsley

How to make Amish Country Casserole

Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 180 degrees C or 350 degrees F.

Step 2: Using cooking spray, grease a large oven dish.

Step 3: According to package instructions, cook the pasta in a large pot.

Step 4: In olive oil, saute the onion until soft. Add in the ground beef and continue to cook until done.

Step 5: Drain the pasta when done cooking and add to the pot.

Step 6: To the pasta, add the cooked meat, tomato and mushroom soups, and milk. Stir well and season according to taste.

Step 7: Into the prepared oven dish, transfer the mixture. Place in the preheated oven and bake the casserole for about 25 to 30 minutes.
