1.5 pounds steak (Ribeye, New York) or beef chuck for a cheaper version cut to 3/4” cubes
Air Fryer Steak Marinade:
1 teaspoon oil
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground
1/2 teaspoon dried garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon dried onion powder
1 teaspoon Montreal Steak Seasoning
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Air Fryer Asparagus:
1 pound asparagus, tough ends trimmed (could replace with spears of zucchini)
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon oil (optional)
How to make Air fryer Steak Tips
Step 1: Ready the air fryer. Preheat it to 400 degrees F for approximately 5 minutes.
Step 2: In the meantime, trim any fat from the steak, then slice the meat into cubes. With the Air Fryer Steak Marinade, toss the cubes until evenly coated. For easier cleanup, you can do this in a ziplock bag.
Step 3: Using a nonstick spray, grease the bottom of the air fryer. Into the bottom of the air fryer, spread the meat, and cook for about 4 to 6 minutes.
Step 4: With half tsp oil and 1/4 tsp salt, toss the asparagus until evenly coated.
Step 5: Toss the steak bites around and push them on the other side of the air fryer basket once they turned brown, then place the asparagus on the other side. Resume cooking for 3 minutes more.
Step 6: To a serving plate, transfer the steak tips and asparagus once done and serve immediately. Enjoy!
Notes:
If you are worried about opening the air fryer when cooking, it’s okay. It is safe to open it any time to check on the meat.
After around 4 to 5 minutes of cooking, open the air fryer and check the meat.
