These perfectly crispy Onion Rings are the healthier version of the deep-fried onion rings and crispier than the oven-baked ones. Made in an Air fryer in no more than twenty-four minutes from start to finish. Serve these with ketchup or your favourite dip and make sure to make a bunch because these are freaky delicious, you don’t want your kids fighting for the last piece!

1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp salt, divided
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 Egg
1 c. Panko crumbs
2 tbsp olive oil
1 large yellow or sweet onion, sliced and separated into rings
olive oil spray
How to make Air Fryer Onion Rings
Step 1: In a shallow bowl, mix the flour, paprika, and half a tsp salt.
Step 2: Whisk the buttermilk and eggs in another shallow bowl, then stir in about 1/4 cup of the flour mixture.
Step 3: Combine the panko crumbs, half tsp salt, and 2 tbsp oil in a different shallow bowl. Using a fork, stir the mixture until the oil is evenly distributed.
Step 4: In the flour mixture, dredge the onion rings, dip them next in the buttermilk mixture, then in the panko crumb mixture.
Step 5: In the Air Fryer basket, place the onion rings, making sure not to overcrowd the basket. Cook about 12 minutes on 400 degrees, flipping halfway through and spritzing the rings with oil. If needed, cook the onion rings in two batches.
