This is an amazing low-carb dish made in the Air Fryer. A meal that is loaded with cheese and bacon that I am pretty sure you’ll love. With only five ingredients you’ll be able to throw this together in a snap. A delicious gluten-free, keto-friendly meal that never compromises. A rich light meal that paired well with a green salad or some steamed broccoli.
Ingredients
4 slices sugar-free bacon, cooked and crumbled
2 oz cream cheese, softened
1/4 c. pickled jalapenos, chopped
1/2 c. shredded sharp cheddar cheese, divided
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
How to make Air Fryer Jalapeno Popper Hasselback Chicken
Step 1: Combine the bacon, cream cheese, jalapenos, and 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese in a medium bowl.
Step 2: Across the top of the chicken, cut about 6 slits. And be careful not to cut all the way through.
Step 3: Into the slits, stuff the cream cheese mixture.
Step 4: In the air fryer basket, place the chicken. Set the air fryer to 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
Step 5: Open the air fryer at the last minute of cooking time and sprinkle the rest of the cheese on top of the chicken. Then, air fry the chicken for the last minute.
Notes:
After 15 minutes the chicken should be cooked but the cooking time depends on the air fryer you are using. If needed, cook for a couple of minutes more.
Instead of pickled jalapeno, you can use finely diced fresh jalapeno.
