by Rebecca December 15, 2020

PREP TIME: 5 mins | COOK TIME: 16 mins | TOTAL TIME: 21 mins | SERVINGS: 8

These Air Fryer Chicken Wings are crispy, well-seasoned, and super delicious! Finger licking good chicken wings that you’ll enjoy making over and over again.

INGREDIENTS

2 pounds chicken wings recommend party pack**

1 tablespoon olive oil

Rub:

½ teaspoon of sea salt

¼ teaspoon ground black pepper

½ teaspoon garlic powder

½ teaspoon smoked paprika

⅛ teaspoon chilli powder

½ teaspoon onion powder

How to make Air Fryer Chicken Wings

Step 1: Prepare the air fryer. Preheat it to 360 degrees F.

Step 2: Combine the rub ingredients in a small bowl.

Step 3: Use a paper towel to pat dry the chicken wings and transfer the wings in a resealable plastic bag or bowl.

Step 4: Add oil to the chicken and toss to coat. Add in the rub mixture and toss/shake to coat evenly.

Step 5: Transfer the chicken wings in a single layer to the air fryer basket.

Step 6: Cook in the preheated air fryer for about 10 minutes. Turn the wings over and cook for 10 minutes more. Adjust the air fryer to 390 degrees and continue to cook for an extra 6 hours or until the juices run clear and the middle registered 185 to 190 degrees F.

NOTES:

Chicken wings are cooked when it reaches about 185 to 190 degrees F.

When using frozen chicken wings, increase the cooking time by about five to ten minutes. For this recipe, I suggest using thawed or fresh chicken they are easier to coat in oil and season.

Cooking in an air fryer makes a delicious crispy chicken wing just make sure to not overcrowd or they won’t crisp up.
