4 green onions, sliced
4 c. cold jasmine rice
2 tablespoons soy sauce
3 tablespoons cooking oil
pinch of salt
4 Eggs, beaten with a pinch of salt
How to make 5 minutes easy egg fried rice
Step 1: Preheat a skillet or wok over high heat. Drizzle a tbsp cooking oil into the hot pan and swirl to coat the bottom of the wok or skillet. Then, pour the beaten eggs into the wok and scramble.
Step 2: To the wok or skillet, add the rest of the 2 tbsp cooking oil once the eggs are cooked to about 3/4 way along with the cold jasmine rice. Break the rice down, then mix it well with the eggs.
Step 3: Around the edge of the wok, pour in the soy sauce. This will result in a slightly burning smoky umami flavour. To taste, season with salt and give it a good stir. If needed, adjust the heat to low.
Step 4: Turn the heat off when done and instantly stir in the green onions.
Step 5: Garnish the Egg Fried Rice with some sesame seeds and serve it with your favourite side dishes. Enjoy!
