by Rebecca June 7, 2021

Prep time: 10 mins | Serves: Frosts approximately 10 dozen, depending on cookie size

Easy and quick to make frosting that requires only four ingredients. This is by far the best Sugar Cookie Buttercream Frosting recipe I’ve made in years! The texture is wonderful, you can use extra vanilla in case you don’t have almond extract and it’s perfect either way. Ever since I’ve found this recipe, this has become my favourite and go-to. I use this frosting on cakes, cookies, even cupcakes. It’s perfect, not overwhelmingly sweet, and delicious!

If you just starting baking and have not tried frosting yet, you will love this easy recipe. It’s a no-fuss and only necessitates simple and easily find ingredients. All you have to do is blend well until you reached your desired consistency. Begin decorating your pastries with this 4-Ingredients Sugar Cookie Buttercream Frosting. Enjoy!

Ingredients

2 cups butter, softened (no substitutions)

6 cups powdered sugar (approximately)

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

2 teaspoon almond extract

food colouring (optional)

How to make 4 Ingredients Sugar Cookie Buttercream Frosting

Step 1: In a mixing bowl, beat the butter and extracts. Add in the powdered sugar a little at a time, beating every after each addition until you have your desired texture. In case you add too much sugar, you can add in a little milk, too.

Step 2: Feel free to add food colouring if desired and make sure to blend well. Then, into different bowls, split the frosting if you intend to make an assortment of colours or you can simply keep it clean white.

Step 3: Transfer the frosting to a piping bag or Ziploc bag and just snip off one corner to use it as a piping bag. If desired, you can frost using a spatula. Remember not to use generic bags because the seam could burst open.
