UNSTUFFED CABBAGE ROLLS

Dress up your cabbage. These unstuffed cabbage rolls are sure to fill you up for the entire day! Delicious with simple ingredients and cook in perfection. A packed meal that even your picky eaters will love and enjoy. This sure is one heck of a meal, complete with ground beef or chicken or pork, rice, cabbage, and tomatoes.

This is yet another incredible slow cooker dish that is perfect for busy days. After preparing everything, you just dump them into the pot and leave. And before you know it dinner is ready! And if you adore cabbage as I do, then, this is one in a million! Delicious, satisfying, and a hearty meal to enjoy with family and friends. Sure a keeper and to die for!

Ingredients

1 1/2 lb lean ground beef, chicken or pork

1 tbsp oil

1 large onion, diced

1 clove garlic, minced

1/2 c quick-cooking rice

1 small cabbage, chopped

1 can (28 ounces) diced tomatoes

1 can (8 ounces) plain tomato sauce

3/4 c water

1 tsp each salt and pepper

HOW TO MAKE UNSTUFFED CABBAGE ROLLS

Step 1: Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Step 2: Once the oil is hot, add and cook the ground meat and onion until brown and translucent.

Step 3: Stir in the garlic and rice for a minute more.

Step 4: Add and stir the tomato sauce, tomato, salt, and pepper until well mixed.

Step 5: Then, add in the chopped cabbage and pour in the water. And bring the mixture into a boil.

Step 6: Place the meat and rice mixture into a slow cooker and cook at 300 degrees F or 150 degrees C, covered for about 2 to 3 hours.
