Cooked quickly on the grill, these steaks and potatoes on a stick are bursting with flavour, making this my new favourite grill meal. Prepare this ahead and grill in the evening so the flavours will penetrate the steak and potatoes and make the potato skin extra crispy and soaked in delicious grill flavour when grilling. INGREDIENTS
1 pound sirloin, cut into 1″ pieces
2 tablespoons chopped rosemary, divided
4 tablespoons olive oil, divided
1 pound baby Yukon gold potatoes
2 tablespoons dijon mustard (or whole grain mustard), divided
Steak sauce, for serving (optional)
How to make Steak And Potatoes On A Stick
Step 1: Prepare the grill. Preheat it to medium-high.
Step 2: Ready the skewers, soak them for 20 minutes.
Step 3: Toss the steak with 2 tablespoons olive oil and a tbsp rosemary. To taste, season with salt and pepper. Leave to marinate while preparing the potatoes.
Step 4: In a large microwave-safe bowl, place the potatoes and cover. Microwave for about 6 to 8 minutes until just tender. Rest to cool and when cool enough to handle, toss with 2 tbsp olive oil, a tbsp rosemary, and mustard. To taste, season with salt and pepper.
Step 5: Layer the steak and potatoes onto the skewers and grill for about 8 minutes, turning irregularly until the steak is medium.
Step 6: When done, serve with steak sauce. Enjoy!
