Cheese and spinach are some of my favourite combinations and the light crisp crust of this baked quiche brings everything in order. A beautiful and delicious dish for entertaining guests that you can easily and quickly make whenever using only simple ingredients that I am pretty sure you already have on hand. 1 pie crust
2 tbsp chopped onions
1/2 bunch fresh spinach, chopped (about 1 c. chopped)
1/2 c. cheddar cheese, shredded
1/4 c. feta cheese crumbles
1 tbsp butter
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
How to make Spinach Feta Cheese Quiche Recipe
Step 1: If using frozen pie crust, thaw first before using. Using a fork, poke holes on the pie crust and pre-bake at 350 degrees oven for about 10 minutes.
Step 2: Whisk the eggs, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl and set aside.
Step 3: To the pre-baked pie crust, add the onions, chopped spinach, and sprinkle with cheddar cheese and feta crumbles. Then, gradually pour in the egg mixture.
Step 4: On a cookie sheet, set the pie, then top with pats of butter. Place in 350 degrees preheated oven and bake for about 24 to 30 minutes until thoroughly set. Remove from the oven when done and allow the quiche to cool for at least 5 minutes, then serve.
Tips:
For a time-saving tip, use pre-washed bagged spinach.
Feel free to use pre-shredded cheese for this recipe.
If you want to make pie crust from scratch, you can, Although, I always find using frozen pie crust as good, much easier, and not time-consuming.
Bake the quiche a little bit longer (about 40 to 45 minutes) until the eggs are completely cooked if you like a crustless spinach quiche.
