Prep Time: 20 min | Total Time: 20 min | Servings: 12

These are too cute! Super simple and fun to make. The perfect treat for Halloween that everyone will enjoy. Pretty sure the kids will go crazy over these Rice Krispie Treat Pumpkins. Mallows, rice Krispies, M&M’s, mini Rolo, and butter are the main ingredients you need to make these cuties. Super quick, you’ll not even sweat a bit and these are ready in under 20 minutes. Have a spooky Halloween!

Ingredients

1/4 c butter

1 bag large marshmallows

6 c Rice Krispies

Red & Yellow Liquid Food Coloring

Mini Rolos

Green M&M’s

1/4 c cooking oil or melted butter in a small bowl

How to make Rice Krispie Treat Pumpkins

Step 1: Melt the butter in a large pot over low heat.

Step 2: Add in the marshmallows and stir until fully melted and incorporated.

Step 3: Take the pot out of the heat and add a few drops of yellow food colouring. Mix well before adding in a few drops of red food colouring. Continue to mix well (I often use around 4 drops red and 12 yellow).

Step 4: Add in the Rice Krispies and stir until well mixed.

Step 5: Use cooking oil or butter to generously coat both your hands. Roll the rice Krispies to make small balls. Place them on parchment paper. If needed, rub oil or butter on your hands after each ball.

Step 6: Gently press a Mini Rolo into each pumpkin while the balls are still warm to make the stem. And for the leaf, add a green M&M beside. Let it cool until firm.

Notes:

You can use the end of a thick marker or apple core to create a small indent if the pumpkins cool instantly. This will help the chocolate sit in the indent.
