Impressive, delicious, and surely has a restaurant-quality dish that your entire family will love. These classic Italian Stuffed Shells pairs so well with a simple side salad, french bread, or breadsticks. You can eat it on its own, even serve this with a glass of wine for date nights. Make this whenever you want with simple ingredients in under an hour. You can try to use ground Italian sausage as well in place of ground beef. I’ve seen many reviews that it’s amazing, too!

Looks complicated, very sophisticated, but don’t let the appearance of this dish fool you because this is pretty easy and quick to throw together. I’m sure you’ll be fighting for the leftovers the next day. I even doubt if there will be any leftovers!

Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

15 ounces can crushed tomatoes

15 ounces can tomato sauce

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon garlic powder

20 large shells

15 ounces ricotta cheese

1 Egg

4 ounces shredded Parmesan

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

2 c. mozzarella cheese

How to make Italian Stuffed Shells

Step 1: In a large skillet, cook the ground beef until thoroughly cooked. Drain when done and season with onion and garlic powder before adding in the cans of tomato sauce and crushed tomatoes. Simmer while preparing the noodles.

Step 2: According to the package direction, cook the noodles. Gently drain once done and set aside.

Step 3: Combine the ricotta, egg, Parmesan, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Using a spoon, fill the noodles with this cheese mixture. When all the noodles are stuffed, top them with the rest of the meat sauce and sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese. Place in a 350 degrees F oven and bake for about 25 to 30 minutes until the cheese has melted and bubbly.
