This quick and easy breakfast recipe is a staple in any household. The perfect French Toast, beautifully browned outside, soft and fluffy inside, and is easily customized! For extra sweetness and flavour, add the perfect ratio of milk to eggs with a pinch of sugar and cinnamon. Sure this sounds pretty easy and simple, right? And in a heartbeat, you’ll get yourself the perfect french toast of your life!

INGREDIENTS
8 slices thickly sliced bread brioche, Texas toast, or challah bread
2 large Eggs
2/3 c milk
1 tsp granulated sugar optional
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp ground cinnamon
Pinch salt
HOW TO MAKE FRENCH TOAST
Step 1: Prepare the griddle or skillet. Heat over medium heat or 325 to 350 degrees F.
Step 2: Add the eggs, milk, if using sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt in a mixing bowl. Whisk until incorporated and place the mixture in a shallow baking dish.
Step 3: Soak the bread slices into the egg mixture for at least 20 to 30 seconds. And let the excess drip off into the dish.
Step 4: Use cooking oil to lightly grease a griddle or pan.
Step 5: Transfer the slices of bread on the prepared griddle or pan.
Step 6: Cook on both sides for about 3 to 4 minutes or until golden brown. Adjust the heat as needed to avoid burning.
Step 7: Once done, serve immediately with your desired toppings.
