How to make Garlic Steak Marinade
Step 1: Whisk all the ingredients in a small bowl except the steak.
Step 2: Into a resealable zip lock bag or large bowl, add the steaks. Pour the marinade over. If using a zip lock bag, make sure to squeeze out as much air as possible, then seal.
Step 3: Marinate the steaks for at least 2 hours or overnight.
Step 4: If using a skillet, preheat the skillet over high heat for a few minutes. Once the skillet is very hot, cook the steak for about 3 minutes per side. Adjust the heat to medium-high and continue to cook the steak to your desired doneness. Flip the steak as needed. The cooking time will take about 10 minutes depending on the thickness of the steak. For medium-rare, the internal temperature of the steak should read 145 degrees.
Step 5: If making the steak on the grill, preheat the grill first to medium-high. Then, cook the steak for about 4 to 6 minutes on each side until the internal temperature reaches at least 145 degrees F (for medium).
Step 6: Once cooked, allow the steak to rest for at least 3 minutes.
Step 7: Serve and enjoy!
