1 teaspoon butter
2 tablespoons brown sugar
3 teaspoons vanilla sugar
3 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
6 large apples – peeled, cored, and sliced
3 ½ tablespoons water
HOW TO MAKE CINNAMON BAKED APPLES
Step 1: Ready the oven by preheating it to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
Step 2: Grab a large baking dish and grease with butter.
Step 3: Combine the nutmeg, vanilla sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon in a small mixing bowl until incorporated.
Step 4: At the bottom of the prepared baking dish, arrange 1/3 of the apples and sprinkle over around 1/3 of the sugar mixture.
Step 5: Do the same steps until you arranged two more layers.
Step 6: Put in the preheated oven and bake for about 30 minutes or until a bit brown.
Step 7: Add in the water and continue to cook for 15 minutes more or until the apples are soft and tender.
Step 8: Once done, take the baked cinnamon apples out of the oven and onto a wire rack. Allow cooling at room temperature before serving. Enjoy!
