These cream cheese-wrapped olives are a great appetizer that you can easily and quickly make using just three ingredients! Excellent for tailgating, parties, picnics, or bbq. These little treats are amazing, I am pretty sure everyone will love these!
I love appetizers, especially those that I can easily and quickly make. And these cream cheese-wrapped olives require minimal prep time. For this recipe, it is best to use large cocktail olives, but regular olives are fine, too. You can also make these using both sizes if desired. These cream cheese-wrapped olives come together super fast. You can whip this up (double the batch) in advance and simply store it in the fridge until ready to serve. To serve, slice the cream cheese-wrapped olives in half and present them on a plate.
This fantastic mini appetizer is a must-try! They are perfect as travel-friendly party food. A wonderful option especially if you enjoy olives, nuts (you can use either walnuts, pecans, or almonds), and cream cheese.
INGREDIENTS
8 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature
1/2 c. walnuts, crushed
1/2 tsp garlic salt
1 jar of green olives (pimento or garlic stuffed, if desired)
How to make Cream Cheese Wrapped Olives
Step 1: Place the cream cheese, garlic salt, and 2 tbsp of the olive brine from the jar in a medium bowl. Using an electric mixer, beat the ingredients until smooth. Place in the fridge for about 30 minutes to chill.
Step 2: Wrap the olives once the mixture has chilled. Pat dry 1 olive, then scoop out a little of the cream cheese mixture. Around the olive, press the cream cheese until fully wrapped, then roll in crushed walnuts. Do the same for the remaining olives.
Step 3: Place the cream cheese-wrapped olives in the fridge until firm.
Step 4: To serve, slice the cream cheese-wrapped olives if desired. Enjoy!
