Ingredients
4 large Egg whites
3/4 c cornstarch (or Mochiko Sweet Rice Flour)
1/3 c water
1 lb chicken breast, cut into 1″ thin chunks
vegetable oil, for frying
1/2 c mayonnaise
1/4 c honey
2 tbsp sweetened condensed milk
How to make Chinese Honey Chicken
Step 1: Place the egg whites in a large bowl. Whisk for about a minute or two or until foamy.
Step 2: Add the cornstarch and water into the egg whites and stir until incorporated.
Step 3: And fold in the chicken.
Step 4: In a large pot, heat about 3 inches oil over medium-high heat or 350 degrees.
Step 5: Once the oil is hot, cook the pieces of chicken in 2 batches. Fry the chicken for about 2 to 3 minutes until golden brown.
Step 6: Meanwhile, mix the mayonnaise, honey, and sweetened condensed milk in a large bowl.
Step 7: Before serving, toss the just fried chicken into the sauce.
