BREAKFAST CASSEROLE – EASY & FLEXIBLE

by Rebecca November 11, 2020

Prep Time: 15 mins | Cook Time: 30 mins | Yield: 6-8 servings

Easy and flexible, this breakfast casserole is ready in a few minutes. Made with eggs, sausage, and cheese, this is a complete meal in one. You can even use bacon or ham in place of sausage or include all! Doesn’t matter because this dish will keep you full for the entire day! Delicious, satisfying all-day meal and my go-to for busy days.

I am a working mom and most of the days I tend to turn to easy and quick meals. And this here has been my go-to. It is super easy to prepare with only a few simple ingredients. This sure is a must-have and to keep! A traditional breakfast casserole that you can twist and turn and still comes out great!

Ingredients

1 can(s) crescent rolls

1 lb pork sausage

6 Eggs

1/2 c milk

1 c Mozzarella cheese, shredded

1 c cheddar cheese, shredded

HOW TO MAKE BREAKFAST CASSEROLE

Step 1: Ready the oven. Preheat it to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.

Step 2: Cook the sausage in a saucepan over medium heat until greasy and brown.

Step 3: Grease a 9 x 13-inch pan with cooking spray.

Step 4: Place an unrolled crescent roll on the bottom of the prepared pan and gently press to seal the seams.

Step 5: Place the cooked sausage over the roll and evenly spread.

Step 6: Combine the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper in a small mixing bowl until incorporated.

Step 7: Pour the mixture on top of the sausage and sprinkle with cheese.

Step 8: Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes or until the eggs are done and the cheese has melted.

Step 9: Once done, remove from the oven and let the casserole cool for at least 5 minutes before serving.

Notes:

In place of sausage, you can use bacon or ham instead.

For extra flavour, you are welcome to add potatoes and some green onions.
